Pomeranian Regional Development Agency from Slupsk is organizing an economic mission of Polish ICT companies to Norway. The main goal for the mission is to visit and present Pomeranian companies during the Oslo Innovation Week that will take place on 13-17 October. Oslo is a major ICT and new technology hub with over 60% of Norway ICT sector located there. The mission will include business meetings with Norway companies, opportunities for partnerships and visitations to Science and Technology Parks and Clusters.
The Polish ICT sector has a very good growth prospects due to a very large Polish intellectual capital, but its potential still remains partly hidden. However, positive examples of International and Polish companies that found their place in the international knowledge economy and a very good condition of Polish economy in crisis do not leave doubts that Poland consistently manages to build a strong position on the European and global scene and its role in the growing ICT sector will increase each year.
Pomerania Region, located in Northern Poland, is not an exemption. A lot of companies engaged in software production, IT services and R&D activity have been successfully developing its activity for last few years, becoming reliable partner for international businesses. In fact, according to Association of Business Services Leaders in Poland (largest association of companies providing business services in Poland) Report 2012 it is R&D and IT services that are the specialization of the Pomerania Region.
